The Town of Plainfield has officially kicked off the comprehensive planning process, branded as Thrive! This began with a meeting of the 32-member volunteer Steering Committee meeting on May 9. The Steering Committee was selected through a community-wide application process and is made up of a diverse group of community volunteers who will help guide the comprehensive planning process.
The first meeting was an opportunity to introduce the consultant team who will help facilitate the process. At this meeting, the group discussed three big-picture questions related the Town’s future, messages to motivate community participation, and strategies to reach out to community members.
The first round of public engagement will be held in August and September 2023. This will be an opportunity for the community to get involved and share ideas about the Town’s future. Stay tuned for more details!
